The artistic swimming competition at the Doha Swimming World Championships has ended, and on the last day, there was great news for the Catalan swimmers Dennis González and Mireia Hernández.
The Catalan duo has secured the silver medal in the mixed duet free final. Coming from second place in the preliminaries, they maintained this position with a very dynamic routine, set to the rhythm of hip-hop and featuring music from the movie ‘Step Up.’ They were only surpassed by the Chinese duo of Wentao Cheng and Haoyu Shi. It’s worth noting that Dennis González and Mireia Hernández had finished fourth in the technical routine final in Doha.
With this medal, they improve upon the bronze they won in the free routine at the last World Championships in Fukuoka. The swimmer from Rubí is returning home with two medals, following his silver in the free solo event.
